Day#12
During Fasting:
8 Km Run
After Iftar:
300 Pushups (15 Pushups in every minute, and the rest of the minute is recovery)
6 min plank (30 seconds recovery after each minute)
6 min side plank, 3 min on each side (30 seconds recovery after each minute)
There is no escape from the fact that strength exercises are not my cup of tea, I'm just not good in lifting weights or doing pushups as much as I’m good at running a mile or pushing the pedal. Won’t stop cardio indeed, but I’ll slowly add up some core and strength, all what I hope from my body is to adapt and excel.
I made a list of core exercises to begin with. I took the method from Eva Clarke in timing my pushups, and it was effective indeed. My goal to start with was 300 pushups in 20 min, so what I did was the following:
For every one minute, perform 15 pushups, and the rest of the minute is a recovery.
My
noodle arms have struggled in the last two minutes, as if they were petrified.
I’m ashamed to admit that I have cheated by going on my knees in the last minute.
I could
sneak planks in my favorite list of exercises because it is solid and static.
For me it’s mainly a mind game to hold still for the longest. So I close my
eyes, listen to my favorite music, and look for ways to distract my mind and
hold my stability….Can’t sleep on either sides this evening…my shoulders are
sore..
