The One in a Million

I remember back in my muddy days, barefoot, kicking balls in the street

Stamping my feet to the ground, the staring sun, losing my sweat to the heat.

Dropping shorts, painting my name on the walls, some other nights in the sheets

The dreams of flying with no wings, not on a first class seat

Now my hand stressing the pen, the worst of lyrics lacking the beat

I was told the longest journey of my life was finding myself

A ticket in one hand, fighting the shadows in my mind, just another story to tell

Did I take a step forward to heaven, or am I dashing towards hell?

The pyjamas in the bag, the white belt turning black, getting warmed up for the grill

A footstep to the dojo door, sweeping crap from the corridor, the sweat when it smells.

Statued on the ground, silence when its dead, giving up to the footsteps downstairs.

A few pins to the ground, a sign with no sound, everybody’s ready for the twins show like nobody cares.

I finally found myself in there, I realized my early 20 years in my life were spent on a wheelchair.

Looking at our figures of PHDs, stupidly clever, stuck on the same information that he have been memorizing since ever.

Suspicious when he walks, stuttering when he talks, spamming a word he learned from the discovery show, acting so clever.

The lesson of the day, Ends up as a trash aimed straight to the bin.

Justice is when he’s on blame. Blacklisting his name, the unforgivable sin.

Now he’s got the proof in his hand, his back to the wall, murderous in his mind till the moment he walks in.

Turning his head down, muting his tone down, what happened to the crime that you just had in mind?

If just that time could rewind, if winds could accidentally flip seats, will he harness the raging flame inside?

Swallow the fact, the cuts in heart, the truth when it hurts, time will return my justice by turning him blind

Quitting school, giving up to the worst, dashing the doors of life when the truth being said

He wants to shake the world with his presence, like when Michael Jackson was dead

Now he labels every paper, the whole industry demanding his creations, not his theoretical explanations, not his GPA grade.

Find yourself in whatever you like, your passion of your life, Education is not a priority, it’s a necessary lie.

Stop feeding the machine, avoid being like everybody else is a sheep, wake up every day aiming for a new life.

You can’t guarantee happiness if its an ambition, but you can carry it along on your journey, It’s in yourself where it lies.
